Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop a church revitalization strategy for First Baptist Church of Titusville, Florida. (FBCT) The first step was an analysis of the congregation, historical trends of FBCT, and the surrounding community. Statistical information was gathered from the Annual Church Profile reports, along with insights gained during my tenure as pastor. The North America Mission Board provided demographic information. I then conducted research in the field of church revitalization to determine best practices. A leadership team was formed from select members of FBCT. The team met regularly to discuss critical issues associated with revitalization, the unique character of FBCT, and the ministry challenges and opportunities in our community. With this information, the team formulated a revitalization strategy for the FBCT. The strategy was then presented to the church for approval. While beyond the scope of this project, the team sought to implement the strategy recommendations by the fall of 2026.
