- This project provides a model for equipping leaders to adopt mission statements in local churches. Chapter 1 examines the need in churches for improving Great Commission results. Chapter 2 presents the concepts of mission, vision, and strategy from a biblical perspective and focuses on effective leadership. Chapter 3 addresses the current need for mission statements and explains the process of leading churches to create them. Chapter 4 describes the five seminars that comprise the project, providing insight regarding seminar participants' responses. Chapter 5 is an evaluation of the project, giving test instrument results, comments from participants, and ideas for improvement.
