  • The focus of this project is the development of a literacy ministry in the local church. The project required a group of members (volunteers) to participate in the one-on-one training of literacy students. The initial research was accomplished through Dallas Baptist Association, the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, the Dallas Public Library, and the Dallas Morning Newspaper. The research and implementation of this program resulted in the beginning of the improvement of the literacy level of the children and adults in the Egypt Chapel Baptist Church and the neighborhood that surrounds it.
