- Team ministry, which draws equally from laity and clergy, expresses the priesthood of all believers and is a component of reformation. Effective team ministry requires methods for equipping, building and involving teams. This project outlines a biblical-theological perspective, surveys literature, describes lay ministry education programs and details the development of a team of lay ministers within a congregation. It concludes that there is no theological distinction between laity and clergy, that team building is the most important ingredient of team ministry and that teams provide a needed vision for the renewal of the church.
