- Abstract
- This project addressed the contradiction of wealthy Christians in a prosperous North American congregation who desire to be disciples of a Messiah who said, 'How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God.' The project was to develop a pedagogy of the prosperous. The pedagogy was developed within a framework of sociological analysis, theological reflection, ecclesiological imagination, and pastoral concern. The result was a year-long, praxis-based, liberation-focused curriculum for congregations situated in a culture of materialism. The project was based on a combined practical theology model and theological reflection model.
