Abstract
  • This project takes the communication skills taught in homiletics and applies them to lay persons as they communicate in Sunday School lessons, devotionals and Bible studies. The need for such a project was established through a questionnaire given out to lay persons at a Christian education conference. The result is a manual which is to be taught in six lessons under the following headings: communication theory, organization of material, introductions and conclusions, applications and illustrations, nonverbal communication and listening skills and meaningful questions.
