Abstrakt

This project takes the communication skills taught in homiletics and applies them to lay persons as they communicate in Sunday School lessons, devotionals and Bible studies. The need for such a project was established through a questionnaire given out to lay persons at a Christian education conference. The result is a manual which is to be taught in six lessons under the following headings: communication theory, organization of material, introductions and conclusions, applications and illustrations, nonverbal communication and listening skills and meaningful questions.
