This project studies the impact on a sermon's effectiveness when the intended main point is stated propositionally. It uses a didactic sermon form and employs the control group method of research. The project shows that stating the sermon's intended main point in a propositional sentence in the first paragraph positively influences the effectiveness of some sermons.
