  • This manual examines the special needs of the physically handicapped and provides guidelines to pastors and Christian workers for understanding and ministering to handicapped persons. It points out some mistakes made in the past and ways of overcoming or avoiding similar mistakes in the future. The thesis is that handicapped persons are accepted by God as they are and should be accepted into the mainstream of the Church as valuable persons. It is based on a reading of the Bible from the perspective of human wholeness which takes seriously the theology of the imputation of wholeness. The author uses workshops, lectures, seminars, newspapers, interviews, magazines and reflects on personal experience in gathering material.
