Abstract
  • This project restructured leadership and thinking at Grand Prairie Bible Church through constitutional change from a governing board of elders, altered selection process for elders and deacons, and an attempt to remove the traditional pastor concept. A 447 page manual approaches the Bible inductively to discover patterns for a biblically consistent theology of leadership structure. Christ is the head to whom each member is accountable. Members are to recognize biblically qualified men raised up by God to be elders and deacons. Elders remain as long as qualified, while deacons remain if qualified and needed. All paid staff are subject to the elders.
