  • This project consisted of the development of a process of study involving four religious traditions, including Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, and Hinduism. Its purpose was to engage people of faith in significant encounters with the other, as presented through these different communities of faith. Elements of the study included lectures about the history and founding personalities of the religions; class discussion and personal sharing; experiences with food; meetings with spiritual leaders and believers; and opportunities of worship from each tradition. In addition we received materials and documents pertinent to our own faith tradition. Participants experienced significant growth in self-understanding and generated new insights about the 'other' and others as a result of this project.
