  • Demographically, it would seem that in the constituency from which Canadian churches and para-church organizations raise funds for recruiting and supporting various missionaries, the predominantly Anglo-Saxon support base is remaining static while the over-all population is increasing. Churches and para-church organizations need to be more aware of the opportunities to expand this support base afforded by the ethnic and cultural changes taking place. This study has potential value and significance for churches and para-church organizations in that the Canadian Bible Society (CBS) could serve as a model for restructuring organizations. The goal of this project is to design new methods and plans for the CBS in its organizational structure and its system of operation, enabling their fund-raising and recruitment to embrace new immigrant communities of the Chinese in the Metropolitan Toronto area.
