  • The author researched the feasibility of locating a ministry with homeless families in a congregational setting. Awareness for the need for such a ministry arose when the author discovered how few shelters accept homeless families. It occurred to the author that the church has an obligation to keep these families intact, especially during the trying ordeal of a homeless crisis. Ethnographic and pro-active research methods were employed in a effort to bring together a healthy mix of objective and subjective information. The research was offered in the form of a project paper to a control group consisting of laypersons in the congregation. At the close of the session, a forced option questionnaire was distributed to determine feasibility. Twenty of the twenty-one participants believed, based upon the information gathered, that the ministry was feasible. One participant believed the ministry was partly feasible.
