  • This project assesses attitudes, expectations, and perceptions of American Baptist military chaplains and American Baptist executive ministers toward one another. It is based on perceptions that indicate a lack of understanding each holds of the other. Military chaplains are often perceived as not being fully in the ministry, while executive ministers have often not kept in contact with chaplains. The chaplains experience a sense of frustration when church structures are not responsive to their desire to maintain active involvement. This project seeks to isolate these perceptions in order to develop a response to them.
