This project proposes to recover the power of African American preaching during the civil rights movement in a series of 10 sermons at Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church (Brooklyn, NY). After evaluating the existing influences of the civil rights movement in the congregation, the project concludes that members might now be influenced by preaching as they were then.
