The author examines the opportunties and challenges faced by an Anglican bishop In Northern Nigeria, the diocese of Jos in particular. His analysis of the matrix of complex political issues, spiritual issues, and ecclesial issues leads the author to conclude that persecution will an inevitable fact of life and must be faced by strong internal formation within the Christian community.
