  • The ancestor rites continue to be a most important element of the Chinese traditional religion. Even though the Bible does not directly address the question of the ancestor practices, the Scriptures do give guidance to the church of Jesus Christ in dealing with the problems associated with these rites. The author exegetes passages in the Bible which are relevant to the subject of the ancestor practices and from his exegesis constructs a theology which speaks to major issues faced by Chinese Christians today. In the last chapter he answers specific questions which are commonly asked regarding the rites.
