  • This work is a project-based thesis for developing women for spiritual leadership. It is written out of these convictions: the church is called to equip its leadership; women need training specifically designed for them; and leadership skills can and should be taught to help the church fulfill its mandates. The thesis of this work is that short-term leadership training for women will increase their effectiveness and their sense of adequacy in leadership roles. This project provides a tested curriculum series of four parts to help the local church prepare women for spiritual leadership. It is designed so that each part may be taught separately or as a series in order to train women in specific skill areas for Bible study leadership or for administrative leadership, particularly in the context of a women's ministry. This material has been used at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, where the writer is Minister to Women. However, it is designed for use in any local church to provide equipping for women as leaders, especially in the context of ministry to other women.
