- The thesis of this project is that pastors of diverse standpoints form a supportive community when they engage each other in theological reflection on problem situations in ministry. The author recruits six United Methodist pastors to participate in a retreat and three reflection sessions. Comparisons of pre-project and post-project impressions of participants indicate a genesis of community. Post-reflection reports reveal expanded insights into pastoral situations. The project concludes that theological reflection on current ministry increases the participants' appreciation for a variety of perspectives and builds community.
