Abstract
  • The purpose of the practicum/project was to test the assumption that the expansion of one's understanding of faith will directly influence one's theological stance, thereby creating a need for educational change and progress. The practicum was designed with six members of the congregation participating in the exposure to James Fowler's theory of faith development. As their ideas of 'faith' were enlarged, the group, in conjunction with the Christian education committee, designed curriculum and courses whereby the educational needs of thecongregation were addressed. The assumption has proven correct for the six persons that were involved in the practicum. A similar and ongoing design will affect even more people of the parish.
