Visions of and models for church are continually proposed. This project was intended as a way for Christians to bring the visions and models into reality through a parish planning process. This required the integration of theology with organization development. There is research, training sessions for leaders and participants in the process, piloting of the process, and manuals for consultants and planners. The result is threefold: positing planning as a theological activity of co-creation, transformation and hope; designing an effective planning process for urban, suburban, and rural parishes; and identifying consultants as integral to successful planning.
