  • A theology of the cross is applied to church communications. The particular focus is teletex, text transmitted by computer and telephone. Communications theory is used to place this medium in context with other media. ECUNET, an ecumenical teletex system, is explored to see if the theological and media presuppositions work in practice. The author believes those presuppositions do work and there is great promise for the use of this medium of teletex and a theology of the cross in church communications.
