  • This project proposes that Theleia theology, incorporating a hermeneutic of anticipation and the descriptive elements (but not the naturalistic or humanistic presuppositions) of the historical-critical method, is effectively a canopy of hope that may best equip women to preach. Feminist and Womanist theologies are not currently able to encompass all the needs of the diverse community of women preachers. Theleia is a preaching model for women that recovers the meaning of Scripture.
