This project will provide a model for equipping church leaders and pastors in the First Baptist Church, Boerne, Texas, in the Medina River Baptist Association, and in the Uganda Fellowship of Baptist Churches, Uganda, East Africa, to develop a balanced evangelism ministry, which involves prayer, witnessing, and follow-up. The trained church members will then be equipped to have an ongoing, balanced evangelism ministry in their community. The training curriculum will cover the three-fold aspects of prayer, witnessing, and follow-up, for balanced evangelism. A comparison will be made between the participating churches as to the anthropological differences and the effectiveness of this ministry, in the areas of member involvement, conversions, baptisms, and new believers completing the follow-up materials. This project should demonstrate that a church could have an effective and balanced evangelism ministry regardless of location, financial resources, and anthropological differences. This project will also demonstrate the process of contextualization of the training materials and ministry.
