- The author researched and wrote the history of the Montgomery Avenue Women's Center, a daytime shelter for homeless women in Rockville, Maryland. A booklet for individuals and a brochure for corporations were created to use as narrative tools to generate financial and material support for the organization. The story of the day shelter and the women who established and ran it was told to members of Univted Methodist Women. The author found that telling the history of the day center generated interest in and support of the organization.
