Abstracto

The thesis of this dissertation is that effective pastoral care in the large PCA church is possible through diligent adoption and use of a Mete-Church model of small group ministry under the oversight of elders. Kirk of the Hills, a PCA church in St. Louis, Missouri, is currently using the model for pastoral care as proposed for large churches. Questionnaires were completed by those in leadership and by active church members to determine the degree of effectiveness of pastoral care. Three hypotheses were substantiated by the results of the surveys.
