Abstract
  • This qualitative research project focused upon six biblically timeless principles of revival observed in seventy-eight George Whitefield sermons in conjunction with other primary secondary sources. The research proves Whitefield's doctrinal preaching content was a primary factor for why God used him so mightily in the Great Awakening era and beyond contrary to common misinterpretations for his success. A six-week preaching series presented the six principles to our church and included evaluative surveys analyzed in this project. The goal was to consider how our congregation could further implement such biblical principles of revival toward a greater work of God.
