Abstract
  • Congregational spirituality has typically been approached from the perspective of how it helps an individual be spiritually mature. This approach to congregational spirituality feeds the consumer mentality that is so prevalent within congregations today and detrimental to them. This project instead of focusing on the individual concentrates on the congregation as a whole and how its soul can be nurtured to maturity. Resources have been explored from cultural, ecclesiastical, theological, and spiritual perspectives in order to arrive at the needs of a congregation and how its corporate soul must be nurtured. The result is the description of an ecosystem that when built into the local congregation will help to mature that congregations unique soul.
