Abstract
  • This project centers on a collection of original short stories, poems, and other resources for Advent and Christmas, written especially for open and affirming churches in the United Church of Christ. Several stories lift up the struggles and challenges faced by many gay and lesbian people; others include gay and lesbian characters and a diversity of family structures without sexual orientation being a central theme. This project also includes analysis of nine published Christmas stories, and analysis of the themes and depiction of family life in the original creative writing.
