- The prediction is that fifty percent of Southern Baptist Churches will have a bivocational form of ministry by 1985. Since this prediction is rapidly becoming a reality, the author shows the viability of this ministry. He researched the theological/biblical basis, the historical background, and the lives and ministries of ten bivocational and five full-time pastors in order to understand this ministry. Information gathered was used to develop a workshop manual in the areas of time management, pastoral counseling and educational opportunities. The author recognizes the importance of these traditionally problematic areas for the bivocational pastor and addresses them.
