Abstract
  • What kind of tool would help United Methodist pastors to respond to and mentor persons in their congregations who may experience a call to ordained ministry? This project is an attempt to analyze and evaluate the experience and climate that facilitated some 24 persons to hear and respond to the call of God, many of whom are now pastoring churches throughout the Greater New York and Northern New Jersey annual conferences. It is an attempt to share a theology of mentorship as a successful model of ministry at work in the United Methodist Church.
