- Abstract
- This project focuses on the collaborative nature of preaching. Preacher, listener and God must participate. The human understanding of motivation theory is not sufficient to produce transformation without the Spirit of God. The project examines the historical movements, persuasion and the nature of influence, and some of the major activities of the Spirit of God in the preaching event. The result is that if one believes that the Spirit of God is so important in the preaching event, how does one teach preaching to seminary students? Rationale and strategies for developing spiritual dimensions for preaching are outlined.
