  • Through the context of an emergent community, the author explores how children's worship has affected adult ministry through alternative media. The culture and challenge of the new paradigm church is explored through historical influences. The theological framework is the theology of theosis as expressed in transcendence and beauty. Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry. Critiques of worship services, liturgy and alternative media are presented.
