Abstrait

Growing up in the black church allowed me to experience one of its most cherished practices, which is the practice of testimony. This thesis-project was heavily influenced by my church's practice of testimony. After laying a theological foundation for testimony, this thesis-project is designed to assist preachers in preaching clear biblical sermons in which they incorporate personal faith stories. As a result of incorporating faith stories in sermons one would be engaging in a legitimate method to communicate the gospel. By bringing together the proclamation of God's word with a testimony of a personal experience of God allows for a mighty strong witness of the Eternal Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
