  • Jungian psychology is applied to the theology and practice of healing. Specific concepts used are the collective unconscious, symbol, archetype, individuation, and the Christ symbol. The interplay of Jungian psychology, theology, and scripture form the hermeneutic. The concept of miracle and trends in wholistic medicine are briefly considered. Three pastoral aids for the healing ministry are developed and tested: 1) a healing liturgy for use in public worship services, 2) a healing liturgy for private use, and 3) a booklet of interpreted healing scriptures.
