Abstracto

This project proposes, implements, and evaluates a men's ministry retreat program, Legacy Builders, that significantly improves the family relationships of those who participate in a retreat and continue in small-group meetings. The retreat brings to bear biblical teaching about family, heritage, marriage, and fatherhood on issues of intimacy, fatherlessness, and parenthood. Men of South Jefferson Baptist Church (Louisville, Ky) perceive an improvement in family relations following participation in the retreat, a judgment in which their families concur. Those who continue in small groups experience greater improvement and satisfaction.
