  • The purpose of this project was to develop an operations manual to govern the daily operations of First Baptist Church of Battle Mountain, Nevada. Part of the process included team development and leadership skill development on the part of the author. The process took twenty-two months to complete. People already in leadership positions in the church conducted the project. Resources were made available to them and they did the actual writing of the operations manual. The author directed the activities of the group and worked in a collaborative manner. Instruments were used to measure team effectiveness. Overall, the group proved to function as a team to a greater degree than was at first anticipated by the author.
