  • The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of nine religious educators in Roman Catholic high schools as they teach the theological anthropology presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992). This dual model, which sees human nature as fixed with biologically assigned roles for men and women, is contrasted to additional models, most notably a multi-polar anthropology which sees human nature as informed by culture. The interview material is presented by major themes and contexts in which the Catholic secondary educators situate their experience.
