- Congregational worship faithful to the New Testament model will include people of many ages and backgrounds and musical tastes. This paper explores the pros and cons of alternate worship forms in the interest of inclusiveness. It emphasizes the importance of retaining essentials while utilizing contemporary material. Special attention is given to the role of music, and one chapter is devoted to African-American worship. The author concludes with a series of observations and recommendations.
