  • Chinese like stories and learn from stories. many overseas born Chinese audiences find expository sermons boring and without light for their daily living. This project was to search for effective usage of illustrations in expository sermons for the overseas born Chinese in North America. Learning from thirteen contemporary prominent preachers how to use illustrations effectively, the author preached five expository sermons to a focus group to evaluate the effective usage of illustrations in expository sermons for the over seas born Chinese congregations.
