Abstracto

The purpose of the project was to strengthen family relationships of selected young adult families of Southcrest Baptist Church (Lubbock, Tex). Learning methods employed included a seven week sermon series, thirteen training sessions that dealt specifically with husband-wife and parent-child relationships, and a marriage enrichment retreat. Evaluation of the control and experimental groups was based on a pre and posttest instrument, an instrument measuring relationship change, outside observation, subjective analysis, and personal reflections. The project resulted in strengthened husband-wife relationships of both groups and an increased awareness of the possibilty for growth in the area of family relationships.
