Abstract
  • The project was developed to provide a theological and practical base to encourage the church to provide a ministry that empowers low-income families to become self-supporting. The method of study involved investigation of materials that relate to the needs of low-income families, the causes for impoverishment, and the Black theological tradition. Then a project is developed to enable ministry to low-income families. The conclusion is that the church can develop a ministry that empowers low-income families to move in the direction of self-sufficiency.
