  • This project explores the ways in which a culturally skilled pastoral counselor can work effectively with Taiwanese immigrants in a congregational setting. Research in current literature and pastoral experience inform an understanding of the special characteristics of Taiwanese immigrants that underlies the project's analytic survey of Taiwanese American churches in Southern California. Pastors who are culturally skilled counselors can work effectively with these Christians in a cross-cultural context.
