  • This project measured the degree that a Christian campus ministry's racial environment influences Black college student involvement. Three racial models were researched: dominant-cultured, multicultural and the culturally-contextualized model. Two surveys were conducted: a nation student survey and a campus ministry survey. Biblical, sociological and survey research supported the thesis that a Black culturally-contextualized model is most effective which affirming that all three models are biblically acceptable. Two major factors that increased Black involvement were Black leadership and intentionally to be culturally relevant. Collaborative partnerships across cultures foster greater unity in the body of Christ than diverse cultures within a fellowship.
