Abstrait
  • Human activity puts the world at risk. Christian theology which sees creation as something to exploit and use for humanity's sake also puts it at risk. This dissertation seeks to define the theological arguments concerning the care of the Earth. Members of the Sierra Club and three Lutheran congregations are polled about their beliefs concerning the environmental crisis, its origin and possible responses. Chapter 3 presents a four-week action/reflection process about the Earth and the church. Chapter 4 draws conclusions concerning the weaknesses and strengths of the process and further possible actions.
