This project attempts to define the question of leadership in a parish in Canaan, Conn and assist other parishes in the Episcopal Church to do the same. The premise is that a cleric or a vestry with some management background can direct the parish using current management science, in particular the model of rector as chief executive officer. The project addresses the need for a clearer understanding of what leadership means and describes four workshops to accomplish this goal.
