  • This project raises consciousness of the social justice demands of Scripture among members of Temple Church (Nashville, Tenn), a middle-class, suburban, African American congregation. A cross-section of members come together in eight sessions of planned experiences to share and explore personal stories, self-understanding, history, and Scripture. Significant changes in knowledge and understanding occur.
