Abstract
  • This project tested the feasibility of laity being the agents of transition from theological school to parish by newly ordained ministers. Twenty-two key issues were identified by survey and used to design a program for ministry reflection groups meeting every three weeks. Three pilot groups (1982) and four test groups (1983) used the material. Transition by the test ministers was compared with that of four contemporaries. Further experiment with the program as part of an integrated approach to transition during the first three years after ordination is recommended. Some questions are also raised about the style of theological education.
