The project's purpose is to strengthen the pastor's pulpit ministry through the pastor practicing effective preaching skills and making intentional changes in response to constructive feedback. Skills in arranging sermon ideas, in choosing appropriate words, and in using the voice and body are identified, practiced, and evaluated. A theology of preaching improvement and of preaching evaluation is presented. Through the use of professional and non-professional evaluators, thirty-two specific preaching principles are identified and then incorporated into a plan for future implementation.
