Abstract
  • The purpose of this ministry project was to develop hermeneutical and homiletical methodologies for expounding selected Old Testament narrative texts christotelically at the Woodland Baptist Church, Brownsville, Tennessee. After presenting the goals and congregational setting for the project, the nature of Old Testament narrative literature and its significance for biblical interpretation are evaluated. Hermeneutical and homiletical principles for treating Old Testament narrative christotelically are drawn from significant exegetes and theologians. An account of the project is included, along with an analysis of its strengths and weaknesses and a theological reflection upon its effectiveness.
